ILM Assured Programme
Our Leading as a Coach programme is suited to supervisors, managers and leaders who have an interest in adopting a coaching-led style of leadership. This is a 2 day programme throughout which the participants will be provided with an introduction to the core skills and behaviours that are required to be an effective coach. The course will also explain in futher detail how these skills can be applied in a leadership capacity.
Learning Outcomes
Day One:
- Explain what coaching is
- Identify the benefits of adopting a coaching style and how it can improve performance
- Describe the GROW model
- Discuss the behaviours of a leadership coach
- Demonstrate active listening skills
- Create effective coaching questions
Day Two:
- Apply a coaching leadership approach to various scenarios and provide feedback to peers
- Explain what is meant by situational coaching and discuss when to coach
- Identify how to create a coaching culture within a wider team
