ILM Assured Programme | Leading & Embedding Change

Our Leading & Embedding Change programme is well suited to emerging leaders and managers. This 3 day programme includes the Personal Effectiveness programme from Insights Discovery. The programme aims to provide participants with an overview of considerations, models and practical resources to support individuals and organisations during times of change.

Learning Outcomes

Day One – Personal Effectiveness:

  • Describe your own individual behavioural preferences
  • Discuss what impact these may have on others around you
  • Identify ways in which your preferences may be evident in your communication with others
  • Explain how you may adapt your approach to build relationships and effectively communicate
  • Describe the Insights model of organisational change
  • Reflect on how your preferences may influence your approach to organisational change

Day Two – Change, the Individual and the Organisation:

  • Discuss your own experiences of change within an organisational setting
  • Identify ways in which change can impact individuals, positively and negatively, and demonstrate how to undertake a SWOT analysis
  • Explain the concept of the Growth Mindset and it’s relevance to change for individuals
  • Reflect on typical sources of stress in change processes and discuss how these can be minimised
  • Apply the Kubler Ross curve to an organisational change you have experienced
  • Describe what is meant by a learning culture within an organisation

Day Three – The Role of the Leader in Charge:

  • Consider your own leadership style and the impact this may have in times of change
  • Devise communications strategies to support your leadership
  • Identify how change may impact various stakeholder groups
  • Identify how to align structures, processes and practices to support change
  • Explain the leaders role in embedding and sustaining change
  • Create your own personal leadership plan for an identified change within your organisation
