OUTCOMES

After this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Define diversity, equality and inclusion to understand why it’s important to take action in the workplace
  • Describe the nine protected characteristics within the Equality Act (2010) and understand the different types of discrimination
  • Explore how beliefs, values and attitudes drive behaviour, being clear on what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate behaviour at work
  • Be aware how employer and manager duties in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Learn a simple and effective framework to handle difficult conversations and demonstrate this learning through a ‘real play’ scenario
  • Understand what ‘good practice’ means for your organisation to recognise individual and organisational responsibilities.
