OUTCOMES
After this workshop, you should be able to:
- Define diversity, equality and inclusion to understand why it’s important to take action in the workplace
- Describe the nine protected characteristics within the Equality Act (2010) and understand the different types of discrimination
- Explore how beliefs, values and attitudes drive behaviour, being clear on what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate behaviour at work
- Be aware how employer and manager duties in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion
- Learn a simple and effective framework to handle difficult conversations and demonstrate this learning through a ‘real play’ scenario
- Understand what ‘good practice’ means for your organisation to recognise individual and organisational responsibilities.
